Setting up an email forwarder

Email forwarders, or 'forwarding accounts' are used to send email sent to one email address to another email address.

Step 1
Login to the NetHost Control Panel and select the "Email Accounts" icon from the main menu.

Step 2
Click the "Forwarders" link (near the bottom of the page).

Step 3
You will be presented with two boxes. In the first box enter the email you address you want to be forwarded somewhere else and in the second enter the email address you wish for it to be forwarded to.

Click the "Add Email Forwarder" button.

You will receive a confirmation message of the new forwarder.

Important Notes If you have setup a forwarding email address for an email address which also has a POP Email Account setup then any messages sent to that address will be both stored on the server and forwarded. If you only want the messages forwarded somewhere else you do not need to setup a POP Email Account - only the forwarder. If you want to forward email to more than one address, simply setup more than one forwarder for that account. i.e. you@yourdomain.co.nz   ->   you@somewhere-esle.co.nz you@yourdomain.co.nz   ->   someone@somewhere.co.nz you@yourdomain.co.nz   ->   someone@there.co.nz You can setup an unlimited number of email forwarders.
