Uploading with FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
FTP is one of the easiest and most convenient
ways to upload your website. To be able to login to an FTP
account and upload files you will need the following information.
Servername
If your domain name has already propagated then simply
use: ftp.
If your domain name has not yet propagated
you can use the ip address of your web server,
this address was included in the Welcome email you will have
received from us when you first opened your account.
- For the NetHost
Primary Server this address is: 72.34.55.138
- For the NetHost Link Server
this address is: 72.34.34.161
Username
This is the same username as your NetHost Control
Panel username.
Password
This will be the same password as your control panel
password.
Port
The port should be left at the default setting which
is port 21.
Please Note
Remember that you need to upload your files to the
public_html directory (or 'www' directory)
in order for them to be seen on the web, files uploaded elsewhere
will only be able to be accessed via ftp. For more information
